I am in a relationship and my boyfriend doesn’t know about my Alopecia. I am afraid to tell him in case I lose him. What should I do?

If your boyfriend is in a relationship with you, guess what… He already likes you!  If telling him about your Alopecia really does change how he feels about you, you don’t need him anyway!  Depending how long you have been together, don’t be surprised if he is hurt that you didn’t tell him sooner.  He may feel that you were hiding it from him.  If that is the case, just keep in mind that not being ready to share personal information is completely different from hiding something.  Nobody is entitled to know before you are ready for them to.  It was a part of your life that you weren’t ready to open up about.  More than likely, he will like you all the same and be glad that you are willing to share something so personal with him.
