Westlake Village, CA & Des Moines, IA. 8th November 2016. Joli Caméléon™ Announces first Professional Hair Replacement Studio-of-the-Month Award Winner: Studio 409, Des Moines, Iowa.
Full Service Salon specializes in beautiful, undetectable, non-surgical real hair restoration for women & children undergoing chemotherapy, or living with permanent hair loss.
Michael Leigh, President & Founder of Joli Caméléon, announced this special recognition award: “It is my pleasure to recognize the excellence of Jack Morlan’s Studio 409 with our first PROFESSIONAL HAIR REPLACEMENT STUDIO OF THE MONTH Award. Jack, his son Zac, and the rest of his Team have over 30 years track record serving women and children living with hair loss in the mid-West. Their combination of experience, passion, expertise and empathy makes them worthy winners. Even after all this time Jack still has a thirst for knowledge and recently graduated from Joli Caméléon’s Care, Color, Cut & Customization Certification Course”.
Jack had this to say about his passion to serve women facing the challenges of cancer: “From a physical health viewpoint, we know that our client’s medical team is focused on the best possible outcome for her cancer diagnosis and treatment. Where we come in is to make sure that the traumatic emotional challenge of cancer-related hairloss appears as a non-event to the outside world. We offer the choice of a supremely natural Joli Caméléon European hair replacement creation to give our Client back her best hair day every day of her treatment and beyond”. Jack went on to say: “This service is available in the privacy of a private consultation room isolated from the salon environment while still having the benefit of a full service hair salon. After selection, the new hair is fitted and styled by one of Studio 409’s master hairdressers”.
ABOUT STUDIO 409.
Jack Morlan, Studio 409’s Founder, has been serving the Des Moines and greater Iowa/Mid-West community for almost 45 years as a hair designer. For the last 27 years he has been focused on the medical community in serving those going through cancer treatments. He has contributed his time to many committees and boards, such as the Iowa Board of Cosmetology. His passion is to assist those going through cancer and to help them feel like themselves through that season in their life. Jack has also been very active serving the Alopecia community. Alopecia Areata is an autoimmune condition causing temporary, and often permanent, hair loss. It has no known cause. Androgenetic Alopecia is another condition, often hereditary, that causes increasingly thinning hair. More recently, Jack has been joined by Zac Morlan, his son, also a licensed cosmetologist. Jack is also the cofounder of a non-profit organization called Strands of Strength, which he started with two local cancer survivors, to help women without money or insurance obtain an attractive wig. People are able to donate on the site and help purchase the wigs.
